Devotions for a Busy Business Person, no. 231 – Open & Apostolic

Terri and I just finished leading a Marriage Encounter weekend, a time where we help couples with good marriages develop great marriages. Through these devotions, I have a similar passion, helping you develop your good business into a great one.

“Again Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’” John 20:21

One of the things we teach is that the gift of a good marriage is not to be for the couple alone, but to be shared. I would argue the same goes for your business. It is a gift from God to be shared. We do that by being open and apostolic.

To be open is to be receptive to hearing God’s voice speaking in our hearts and speaking through the voices of others. To be apostolic is to respond to God’s call – to go out and spread the good news. WWME

Your business is a remarkable platform to spread the Good News – through your actions, your words, and the way you treat your suppliers. By being responsive to the call of the God and the need of your supply chain, you have the opportunity to bless others every day.

God, let me be open to your call and responsive to the needs of others.
