Devotions for a Busy Business Person, no. 248 – Fidelity

One of the best, though anonymous, definitions I have heard about Fidelity is to ‘keep showing up’.

“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.” Revelation 19:11

If there is any attribute as you run your enterprise where you reflect God, it is through Fidelity. 

“Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:2

I will be soon heading off for meetings and training with Foundations for Farming.  The two founders, Brian Oldreive and Craig Daell exemplify Fidelity. Since 1982, they have taught faith, family, finances and farming, along with forgiveness, to small-scale farmers. 

As you manage the business God has entrusted to you, may you show the same Fidelity that God has modelled.

Faithful God, may we show Fidelity as we steward your enterprise.
